ABA Therapy

Teach new, functional skills such as social skills, communication, daily living skills, and academic abilities.

Identify and decrease problematic or challenging behaviors that interfere with learning and daily functioning.

Help individuals reach their full potential and participate more fully in their social and educational environments.

How Does ABA Therapy Work

A young boy wearing sunglasses and a hat is holding a skateboard in his hand.

1. Initial Assessment: A comprehensive assessment is conducted to understand the individual’s needs, including strengths, weaknesses, and goals.

2. Development of an Intervention Plan: Based on the assessment, a personalized intervention plan is created with specific goals and strategies to achieve them.

3. Implementation of Interventions: Therapists work with the client using positive

reinforcement, modeling, and other strategies to teach skills and reduce undesired behaviors.

4. Monitoring and Adjustment: Progress is monitored through data collection and analysis. The plan is adjusted as needed to ensure effectiveness and meet established goals.

5. Family Collaboration: Family members are involved in the process to ensure that strategies learned in therapy are applied at home and in other environments.
